DIXCEL brake pads are designed, developed and produced by a specialist Japanese brake manufacturer focused exclusively on braking systems. Founded in 2003, DIXCEL combines ÒDecelerationÓ and ÒExcellenceÓ, with a product range covering everyday street use, performance driving and dedicated circuit applications.

DIXCEL brake products are used in motorsport categories including Super GT, Super Taikyu, Asian Le Mans, WTAC, NBR24h and other international racing series. The technology and data gained from motorsport is fed back into the wider DIXCEL range, giving customers a choice of compounds to suit everything from low-dust daily driving through to serious track use.

This listing allows you to select the DIXCEL pad compound that best suits your vehicle and driving style, however not all compounds are available for some pad shapes.

DIXCEL Premium Type

• Affordable street-use replacement pad with improved braking performance over many standard pads.
• Low brake dust and gentle disc wear compared with many OEM-style pads.
• Best suited to everyday street driving.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð500¡C.
• Not designed for circuit use.

DIXCEL M Type

• Ultra low-dust street pad designed for clean, reliable stopping power.
• Ideal for daily drivers, luxury cars and vehicles where wheel cleanliness is a priority.
• Smooth, controlled braking feel without an overly aggressive initial bite.
• Designed to minimise disc wear and help prolong rotor life.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð500¡C.
• Not designed for circuit use.

DIXCEL X Type

• High-friction street pad designed for heavier vehicles such as SUVs, 4WDs and mini-vans.
• Recommended for vehicles with larger wheels or extra load where more braking power is required.
• Strong braking performance with pedal pressure proportional to stopping force.
• Graphite metallic friction material.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð700¡C.
• Not designed for circuit use.

DIXCEL EC Type / Extra Cruise

• Affordable street pad offering better bite than many standard brake pads.
• Good choice for normal road use where improved stopping power is wanted without moving to a more aggressive compound.
• Scorched friction surface assists the bedding-in process.
• Helps prolong disc life.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð450¡C.
• Not designed for circuit use.

DIXCEL ES Type / Extra Speed

• Affordable performance street pad for drivers wanting to try a sports pad for the first time.
• Suitable for spirited street driving, winding roads, gymkhana, dirt trials and some light circuit use.
• Higher fade resistance than basic street compounds.
• Good brake control with a scorched surface for improved bedding-in.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð600¡C.

DIXCEL S Type

• Mid-range sporty pad for street and light track use.
• Linear response with good pedal control.
• Wide operating temperature range with excellent rotor wear characteristics.
• Suitable for light track use on lighter naturally aspirated vehicles.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð700¡C.
• For heavier or higher-powered vehicles, DIXCEL Z Type is generally recommended.

DIXCEL Z Type

• High-performance all-round sports pad for street to circuit use.
• Strong cold braking performance for street use with high fade resistance for track driving.
• Well suited to high-performance cars using performance radial tyres.
• Graphite metallic friction material.
• Effective temperature range: 0Ð850¡C.
• Recommended when a serious dual-purpose street and track pad is required.

DIXCEL RE Type

• Competition pad designed for circuit use.
• ABS-friendly characteristics with milder initial bite for improved control.
• Suitable for sprint racing and vehicles using high-grip radial, semi-slick or slick tyres.
• Carbon semi-metal friction material.
• Effective temperature range: 200Ð900¡C.
• Not recommended for normal street use due to increased dust, noise and disc wear.

DIXCEL RA Type

• High-friction racing pad with strong braking power and excellent control.
• Designed for high-temperature, high-load and heavy braking conditions.
• Suitable for slick tyres, competition tyres and high-performance radial tyres.
• Carbon semi-metal friction material.
• Effective temperature range: 200Ð900¡C.
• Not recommended for normal street use due to increased dust, noise and disc wear.

DIXCEL Specom-_ Flat Type

• Special competition compound designed for endurance racing and stable lap times.
• Flat friction characteristics provide excellent modulation and consistent braking feel.
• Developed using technology from Japanese and international race programs.
• Best suited to short to medium distance endurance racing and continuous high-temperature use.
• Carbon semi-metal friction material.
• Effective temperature range: 200Ð900¡C.
• Competition-use pad only; not recommended for normal street use.

For normal street use with low dust, choose M Type. For affordable everyday braking, choose EC or Premium Type. For heavier vehicles or SUVs, choose X Type. For spirited street driving and entry-level track work, choose ES or S Type. For serious street and circuit performance, choose Z Type. For dedicated race use, choose RE, RA or Specom-_ depending on tyre choice, vehicle setup and desired brake feel.

Competition-use brake pads require correct bedding-in before use. When fitting race compounds, always follow DIXCEL bedding-in guidance and ensure the pad is operated within its effective temperature range.
