Features & Benefits
- Largest Displacement HPFP: The largest capacity high-pressure fuel pump available for any Honda application, offering 68% more fuel flow than the stock pump, without the need for a 5mm camshaft swap.
 - Unmatched Power Potential: Capable of supporting up to 830 wheel horsepower on gasoline and 700 wheel horsepower on E85, this pump ensures your vehicle reaches its highest performance levels.
 - Comprehensive and Easy Installation: The kit includes all necessary components for a hassle-free installation, with no permanent modifications required. The high-pressure tube replaces the OEM line entirely, eliminating the need for drilling.
 - Integrated Pulse Damping: The pump features an integrated high-pressure pulse damping orifice, ensuring smooth operation and better control over fuel pressure.
 - Fuel Compatibility: Designed to work seamlessly with both gasoline and E85 fuels.
 - Hondata Tuning Support: Each unit is laser-marked with a unique Hondata keycode for easy tuning.
 - Engineered to be the Best: We partnered with an industry leader in fuel pumps, Nostrum High Performance, in the development of this component. For this reason our customers know that they can rely on our fuel pumps to be the best built, best performing on the market.

Hondata Injector

The injector fuel exit must be counter-bored stepped for optimal atomisation.
Hondata tested with a microfine grid under each injector to determine the fuel delivered to each segment.

Increasing injector flow while maintaining atomisation requires countersinking the holes. Hondata replicated the stock injector hole design. Simply drilling a hole does not optimise fuel atomisation. (think firehose)
- Stock injectors have 7 counter-bored holes
 - Hondata 2000 injectors have 8 counter-bored holes
 - The competitition 2000cc injectors have 6 counter-bored holes and 1 non counterbored.

*Note the competitor injector spray cone and bend angle is smaller than stock.

Fuel pressure

*Meaning, if you exceed 260 bar fuel pressure you wont know how much you over-pressureize. We've seen no powergains over 220 bar. Higher pressure improves atomisation but reduces fuel volume.
Injector lockup
When the fuel pressure is too high, the injector can lock up and stop delivering fuel. Fuel rails and pumps are very noisy as far as pressure waves are concerned. You might request 200 bar, but injector closing and pump operation can spike this to many bar higher. This pressure wave noise is too brief to be measured by the stock Honda fuel rail pressure sensor. Hondata injectors are designed to function between 200 and 240 bar (and a lot higher values). Higher pressures may improve atomisation but decrease fuel pump volumetric efficiency - as in your system delivers less fuel. (Read this Hondata test on in tank pumps) We have seen competing injectors lock up at 230 bar, which is bad for your engine.

FAQ
Can the Full-Race Civic Type R High-Pressure Fuel Pump be used with aftermarket camshafts that have higher lift fuel pump lobes?
The Full-Race high-pressure fuel pump is intended for use with an OEM-sized 4mm HPFP camshaft lobe. We do not recommend using this HPFP with an oversized 5mm aftermarket camshaft lobe, due to issues with fuel pressure control that may result.
What is the benefit of a higher max operating pressure?
The higher operating pressure of the HPFP allows you to run the fuel injector at a higher pressure, sometimes higher than stock commanded pressure. This allows more injector flow (mass flow) by running the same injector at a higher pressure, like 240 bar (3500psi) rather than 200 bar (2900psi). Increased pressure at the injector improves spray quality and penetration, especially as boost pressure increases. In highly boosted DI engines it's all about injector capacity and combustion quality (spray quality).
