This progressive spring aims to improve the N-ONE RS's nimble handling performance while achieving high stability.

When developing suspension systems, we prioritize how to secure rebound stroke (the amount of extension stroke of the tire when rolling).

To achieve high stability, the tires must always be in contact with the road surface during high-speed driving and cornering. Increasing the rebound stroke is important for this, and lowering the ride height increases the rebound stroke accordingly (e.g., a 20mm drop increases the rebound stroke by 20mm).

However , if the ride height is lowered excessively to increase the rebound stroke, the bump stroke will be insufficient, causing the damper to bottom out, resulting in unstable behavior and a very poor ride quality.

We conducted tests while measuring the amount of bump and rebound stroke of the tires during driving to find the optimal balance, resulting in a drop of -25 to -30mm at the front and -25 to -30mm at the rear.

Furthermore, the spring rate, another factor determining cornering performance, was tested on various stages such as winding roads and mini-circuits to ensure it wasn't too high and compromised ride comfort. The result is a setting of 3.6 kgf/mm for the front and 2.7 kgf/mm for the rear (normal rates Fr/2.0 kgf/mm Rr/1.8 kgf/mm).

The N-ONE becomes an even more enjoyable car with these progressive springs, which balance improved stability through increased rebound stroke, a lower center of gravity due to the lower ride height, and improved cornering performance through increased spring rate, all without compromising ride comfort.
